Exhibition Pause

Exhibition Pause

An update on Greenpoint from Jens Faurschou:

Dear friends,

Many great museums and galleries in the U.S. are feeling increasing political and economic pressure. You may have noticed that our exhibition space in Greenpoint, Brooklyn, is currently closed, and we’ve been getting inquiries about what’s next. The honest answer is that we haven’t yet decided, and for a little while longer, our public program in New York will be on pause.

Earlier this year, we addressed some building issues and navigated uncertainties around international shipping, which led us to shelve planned shows. We are using this break to contemplate on how best to channel our energy and support artists who bring empathy and vital perspectives to a world very much in need of them.

After forty years in the arts, I remain excited by the work ahead. For now, our focus is on our core business, which will elevate projects when we resume in Greenpoint and beyond.

During this pause, we continue to grow and care for the collection. We’re actively lending, most recently to great museums in Italy, Austria, and Turkey, and are grateful for the opportunity to share the works and support their exhibitions.

It’s crucial that our program stays thoughtful, generous, and genuine. Thank you for your patience and support, and I look forward to sharing more soon.

Best, Jens
