We all speak art
At Faurschou, we collect extraordinary works of art and build ambitious exhibitions to inspire contemplation, encounters, and meaningful experiences between art, artists, and audiences across cultures.
Since 1986, we have evolved and expanded our permanent exhibition spaces from Copenhagen to Beijing and New York, with occasional presence in Venice. Our program ranges from solo exhibitions to thematic group shows and is often inspired by our developing collection. We feature special commissions with artists, galleries, and other collaborators.
Faurschou over the years
Faurschou New York, 2019
The capacious former 1920's taxi depot in Greenpoint, with its striking volume and cascading daylight, became the home of Faurschou New York in the fall of 2019.
Faurschou Copenhagen, 2011
The expansive former warehouse at the waterfront of Copenhagen's industrial north harbor made space for Faurschou Copenhagen’s love for large scale exhibitions and installation art.
Faurschou Beijing, 2007
Situated in the cosmopolitan 798 area of Beijing, China, Faurschou Beijing opened its doors to the public in the fall of 2007. The space, with its beautifully arched skylights and industrial qualities, is the result of a transformed bauhaus factory building.
Galleri Faurschou, 1986
Galleri Faurschou was established as a commercial gallery in 1986 in the picturesque and historic Nyhavn quarter in the heart of Copenhagen. In 1993, Galleri Faurschou presented an exhibition featuring Bruce Nauman to Scandinavia for the first time, and over the years created a string of exhibitions featuring among others, Robert Rauschenberg, Gerhard Richter, Edvard Munch, Asger Jorn, Christian Lemmerz and Per Kirkeby.
